Loving Easter thoughts....& and an Earthquake! Oh No!!

Earthquake in So Cal
Title was my kids idea...:)
If you are here in So Cal, I am sure you felt that not so fun earthquake that we had at 3:40 pm this Easter Sunday...I know that here it was pretty bad , but I can't even imagine what it was like at the epicenter where it was a 7.2 magnitude ! I have family and friends in the San Diego area and I am hoping that everyone is ok...where ever you are, if you felt it, then stop to think how lucky we are that we and our loved ones are alright and how bad it must have been where the epicenter was in Mexicali, in Baja California...my friend is from there, she said...there is no power, no water and no phone service where her family is, just the thought of that terrifies me...know what went through my mind?.......Dear Lord, is that what is going to happen when the "big one" hits here in California? Today, I give thanks, that everyone I know is safe....I pray this is always the case and hope that when the next earthshake hits....we will all be ready!

Wishing you and your lov
ed ones a beautiful Easter!

Oh my dear amores...as I visited your beautiful blogs these couple of days and seen how eloquently and beautiful all your Easter posts are...I am feeling at such a loss for words, I wish I could say something as beautiful and eloquent while talking about God and what this wonderous day truly means...but well those of you that truly know me, know my truth as far as religion goes, I have shared it here with you all before, I have never hidden it...I wish I could say something so full of meaning and filled with amazingly beautiful quotes from the Bible, the way so many of you have done...but well...then I would truly be at a loss, for the simple reason that I don't know how....sad right...but it is my truth, it is something that I am working on changing in my life, but it is taking time...so I will for now instead say what is in my heart....

God and religion is in my heart...I just don't know how to express my thoughts so beautifully and eloquently with scriptures like most of you can, but I can say this to you and it is meant with much love and respect...I hope that you all have the most joyous and beautiful of Easters, May it be filled with the love of family and friends, abundantly good food and the sound of laughter, from those you hold most dear...

So that being said...From my family to you and yours....
Happy Easter!

P.S. I truly hope this post makes sense, it is almost 2 a.m..yet once again :)

Until next time dear friends,

Rosa, No need! It always comes across because it's easy to read between the lines (that are already so beautifully written) of what a huge, loving heart you have.

Rose~ Your heart of love says it all. And these lovely pics...I especially like the first one. My oldest daughter, Holly, loves lambs..and I miss those childhood days when I would buy her a new 'lamby' every easter.

Rose it makes perfectly beautiful sense to me. You don't need to speak religion to live it. And you certainly live it in it's truest form. Through love of others.

Dear Rose, I found those yummy candles at Target. They are new for spring and a great price...2/pkg for $7.99. Look for them on the end display isle. The peach~melon(cantelope)smells good enough to eat. There was a cherry blossom too. Hope you find them. ox

Hi Rose!

Oh, I'm glad to hear you made it through the skaker! They really are scary, aren't they? We've been through plenty of them here in Washington too. We're also on a fault line. They've been happening so frequently lately, I've wondered if we would have one too. Hang onto that china!

Happy Easter to you and yours....

Huggies,

Rose, you are a dear soul...and have a beautiful spirit and loving heart. AND GOD KNOWS YOUR HEART...so don't concern yourself about the small stuff.

SO glad you are OK after the quake felt in your area...as nice as it is living in California.....THOSE are all part of it.... they "come with the territory".
And we live where we live..and most of us LOVE where we live...so be it !
Hurricanes and Tornadoes
are part of living in Texas.

All you can do is to be as prepared as you can be for one... if it does hit...with supplies water, batteries and such.
We store EXTRA food and water starting NOW...for our Hurricane season this summer and Fall.

Hurricane IKE was our worst nightmare here in nour part of the country.

After that...." I REFUSE TO WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING OVER WHICH I HAVE NO CONTROL " ...is the best piece of advice that has ever been given to me.

Rose you are not going to believe this but we felt that earthquake all the way over here in Phoenix!!! I have NEVER experienced an earthquake in my life. It was so weird.... Not very much, but the bobeches on my candlesticks started moving and mirrors were shaking on the wall!!! The water in our pool started sloshing all over the place!! At first I didn't believe what I was feeling, but then my friend Devon called and asked if I felt it too!!!! Hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday anyway...

Dear Rose, you always speak from your heart and it is your honesty that is so endearing. You do not need to have the "right" words to express yourself. There have been so many tremors and earthquakes going on lately. Glad to hear that you are safe and sound and all is well. Have a great week. Many blessings, Tammy

Rose,

We felt the earthquake quite strongly as well, very scary! I grew up in No. California and was in the '89 SF quake and it brought back some scary memories. You are right, we are all so lucky to be okay and pray for those who were not so lucky.

Why feel sad that you don't openly express your feelings about religion? The only ones that matter most to hear your feelings and thankfulness is you and the lord... :)

Have a wonderful week Rose! Hugs ~ Jamie

Hi sweetie!

Love your post---and you said all God would want you to say, "you are being you, a woman with love in her heart". That is all it takes and you do it with so much love and a warm spirit! xo...deb

Rose dear, I'm so glad that you just had some "shakin'" and not too bad, I have to admit that living in So Cal would make me just a teensy nervous, but believing God will protect those who claim His protection. Wonder what it felt like when the angels rolled away the tomb?, maybe like a little tremor?
You are such a blessing to all of us. You live your faith and "religion" in every post and comment, dear Rose. Hope you had a wonderful Easter Day.
hugs and love,
Debra

Hey crazy gaudy girl,
You make perfect sense & I couldn't have said it better myself! It's whats in your heart, that is how Christ speaks to us (I believe) & your heart is truly one of the most beautiful I know. Your always real Rose, that's why I love ya! I'm glad your pretties & your sweet self didn't get dented in the quake. I could have died when Kevin handed me the phone after your text & said 'Rose was in an earthquake'!!! OMG! I can't believe you were in the shower, poor girl. I probably would have had a head full of hair dye & had to run out to the street. Oh well, word count is up to 600. I wanna see those pictures you talked about! Lisa

Rose, I made a "blog friend" when I sound Salvage Dior about 1-2 weeks ago. Kate is precious. Now, here I am. I found you through her comments section. I'm glad you're okay. Remember the Northridge quake? I had just moved to LA (military move) and wouldn't you know it, I experienced my first earthquake. The aftershocks weren't fun either! I have family in Whittier and my cousin called me and gave me instructions on preparing for the "big one". Talk about scared!! Let's hope the big one is more myth.

I'm in OH and wouldn't you know it, about 2 yrs ago at about 5:30-6am there was a mild earthquake! I couldn't believe it!

BTW, your heartfelt sentiment was expressed beautifully!

Rose your such a sweetie! Your writing about your beliefs to me is always beautiful and theres no need for you to think you need to be like others. How you express your thoughts are wonderful and I so enjoy my visits everytime I get lucky enough to stop by.
With my limited bytes on the internet I don't get to visit everyone like I want to,
So happy to here that your ok and the quake was not centered where you are. How sad these terrible earthquakes can be.

Dear Rose, Your words come from your heart...they are yours and yours alone and I can speak for myself that I understand just what you are saying and the charming way that you say it...Anyone can repeat a bible verse. You are coming from a personal place that endears and lets us get to know you for who you are...A kind, tenderhearted and beautiful person who cares deeply.
