Happy New Year...& Happy 21 or 22 years Anniversary to us????

If this is anyones image, please let me know,
I will give you credit for this wonderful picture

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas!!! Things here have been somewhat hectic, we have had some emotional, tiring, yet thankful moments (u get the picture) and we have been taking whatever quiet moments we can to get some quiet time and just relax. I have even stayed away from the computer for a bit to focus on family and somethings that need our attention...(but I will be back very soon to visit all of you...my wonderful friends, how I have missed you! ) Our idea of fun these last couple of days is just staying home and enjoying some dvds and family time...before everyone goes back to school and things resume the normal hectic routine of our day to day lives...As I am sure this is the case in many of your own homes...

But.....

I just wanted a moment to wish you all a Beautiful New Year... filled with lots of love, new & cherished friendships and laughter...lots of laughter... less tears and may this New Year bring us all a more brighter outlook on whatever difficulties we may be facing...I mean lets face it... many of us haven't had the greatest of years, some of us have faced personal losses such as loved ones passing on to a better place, job slow down or even losing them completely, Possible home loss, finding someplace new to call home, financial or even family troubles...sadly many of us might be facing more than one of these issues at the same time, (God bless, everyone of us right now) so here is to hoping ...hoping that this New Year brings closure to many unhappy things and opens our hearts, souls and our lives to many new, wonderful and promising things and adventures! (Me personally, I need to start listening more to my heart and not my fears...)

Now....

I was just thinking, today is New Years Eve.....this in our home is a very special day! !! My husband and I celebrate our 21st or 22nd Wedding Anniversary today :)...hmmm...yes you are reading it right...I am not even sure which it is lol ....

So my dear amors...this is where I need your wonderful help & insight :)

We got married on New Years Eve 1988....so I am thinking we are celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary....BUT...yes I know....theres seems to always be a BUT....

My husband swears that this is our 21st anniversary....soooo everyone... which one of us is right???

No pressure here everyone....just keep in mind that I have threatened to divorce him if he is indeed cheating me out of one of my years of wedded pain err Bliss, yeah that is it.... lol...I am just so tried of trying to figure this out & arguing about this.... year after year :) My dad poor amor, always sided with me...he said he knew me since I was a child and knew my will...hence he knew better :) My husband after all these years is still working on that lesson (wink)

Before I end this post...

I just saw that I am up to over 80 Followers!!! My stars...thank you everyone that has started to follow my lil bebe blog, how I appreciate each and everyone of you and I will be by to visit each of you shortly (I always love this part...because I find such wonderful new blogs to visit & dream!)

I see a giveaway in my future...wooohooo!!!! Finally my turn to giveback to all of you...my wonderful friends!

So....until next time my dear & wonderful friends (I have some new things to share...I promise)

Besos,

Rose~

Hi Rose sweet,
Oh I hate to break this to you but hubby is right...I think. hehe.
I loved your card and your sweet message you wrote inside.
As far as being neighbors goes...that would be so much fun. I think we would be shopping and fighting over the same treasures and our families would soon be complaining that we were neglecting them...and on and on and...
But boy would it be fun.
Happy anniversary to you and your husband, and I hope he knows just how lucky he is.
Sending you wishes for the new year and I pray all your dreams come true.
hugs to you sweet friend

Dear sweet Rose,

I have had to do the family things too, so this is the first time I have been able to sit at the computer and wish you a Happy New Year.
I have thought about you lots though.
Happy Anniversary my friend! What a neat time to get married. We got married in January 25th 1986,
so not much before you.
May you and your family have a wonderful year ahead and may all of your dreams come true.

Hello Again Rose~ ~ ~Yes, 21 full years and how wonderful. Funny because I have trouble with this too. Our anniversary is New Years Eve also as was my parents and it always confused me.

Hi Rose, thanks for your sweet wishes! Yes I do agree with your husband too. When you were married in 1988 your first anniversary would have been 1989, just count your fingers from there! But the most important is that you are still happy together. Congratulations on that and the wish that there will be so many happy years for you both to come. Now I just continue to wish: wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy New Year, filled with joy, love and laughter!

Hi there Dear One ~ Happy 21st Anniversary to ya'll. Huge accomplishment!! Sorry I haven't visited in quite a while - the loss of my 3 loved ones really hit me hard the last 6 weeks or so. I wasn't even able to write a post for over a month until I did one on Christmas Eve. So, it is just that I am having a really hard time plowing through the holidays and the depression. Wish I had light and pretty things to tell you, but this is the real stuff - I didn't want you to think I didn't still care about you - it's just me. But expecting things to get better.

I don't know what the new year holds for me, but I do know that I want you and your blog to be a part of it.

Have a Beautifully Blessed New Year...

Cynthia K. (Beauty and Blessings)

Hi Rose,
Sorry I'm just getting to you now. Computers in the hospital for a few days. Long story!!!
I had to count on my fingers to figure out the number. People at the library must be shaking their heads...lol
First I thought you were right but now that I've recalculated on my fingers:)) your hubby is right. 2009-1988 =21...see? Don't feel bad George has to ask me how old he is all the time when ppl ask him....like I'm his mommy or something:)) I guess it's cute though!

Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary my dear friend. So glad to have gotten to know you this year. I'm not at all surprised that you have 81 followers. You have a kind spirit that shows thru clearly on these pages!!!
Here's to getting to know you even better in the new year!

Rose dear!
Thank you for coming by! You are so beautiful, and your hair, well, I used to sport long, gorgeous black hair back when I was 41! But it's ten years later, and though my hair is still quite black, I just don't have the patience anymore to let it grow long!!!! Keep it as is; you are gorgeous! Thank you for your visit and comment. You have a beautiful blog and I hope that throughout the year, we will be able to come across each other often. Have a wonderful 2010 and God bless you!! Anita

Hi Rose, yes, I think everyone is right. If you were married Dec. 31 1988 it has to be 21, But then look at it this way, does that make you one year younger? ha ha! Loved your wonderful comments! thank you! and I bought all the little clock faces at a flea market in a box of watchmaker parts. It was pricey, but I went crazy for them. It had several old pocket watches also!
Hope you're off to a wonderful New Year!
blessings,
Debra

Hi Rose! I am so glad you visited my blog and left such nice comments. I had to laugh about your not remembering exactly how long you have been married. My husband and I just had a conversation recently and he had to remind ME how many years we had been married! I forgot if it was 22 or 23 - LOL. I look forward to the new year and visiting your blog, and also your upcoming giveaway! Blessings to you in the new year!!!

Dear Rose,
"Thank you" for the beautiful comment you posted on my blog. I understood all of it, precious lady.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND. SUCH A SPECIAL DAY OF RENEWING YOUR VOWS. MY HUSBAND DOES NOT BELIEVE IN CELEBRATING ANNIVERSARIES. I BOUGHT HIM GIFTS FOR 19 YEARS AND THEN STOPPED. WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED 36 YEARS. SO I AM VERY EXCITED TO HEAR WHEN SOMEONE CELEBRATES THEIR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.
I WILL PRAY THAT ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE DEALING WITH WILL BECOME BETTER. YOU DESERVE SUNSHINE IN YOUR LIFE. YOU ARE PRECIOUS.

Your comment on my blog was so beautiful. Like a story. I've read it twice now. I can visualize you smelling her things. I know what you mean buy that. My Mother passed away 3 years ago. I kept her handbag, just as she had it. Packed in a box. Sometimes I'll open it & it all still smells of her. (wow, that bummed me out)Anyway, loved it. And the thread around the card is WonderFul! You never know when you will need just a little! Lisa

Rose darling! YOu are so kind and wonderful to visit and leave two comments! Thank you for all of your words of encouragement. How true, especially as I get older, that the simplest things are the most enduring, like loving your neighbor. It's funny, I somehow missed giving the real point of my post; I used all of the lovely images to help the rhythm of my thoughts flow, but everyone seemed to think I was talking about simple decor...I was simply talking about coming to a point where you realize that in ALL things, love is the thing that we should all be doing and not worry about what is not necessary....oh well, it was a pretty post to look at!!! Hey, are you both latina and Italian?? Thank you again dearest, and please, always know that you are welcome!! Bisous, Anita

Hi Rose, sweetie, a friend of mine just told me that an e-mail that I had sent her from my blogging e-mail address had landed in her spam folder. So I thought I better let you know that I had sent you a private e-mail some days ago, just in case it ended up in your spam folder. No need to answer that e-mail, I just had wanted to pass on some info to you :).

Have a great day, dear friend!

xoxo,
Julia

Julia @ Vintage with Laces said...

Dear Rose, It's me again :)! I see you are with yahoo too. So when you find an e-mail in your spam folder that isn't spam, open the e-mail and click on the "No Spam" button. That will move this e-mail into the inbox folder and the next one that comes from this particular e-mail address should automatically be sent to your inbox folder.
For adding a button I think I can help you too because I had the same problem, lol. I had asked Beth for help since I searched her blog for the HTML code and couldn't find it. She explained a different method how to snag a button to me. Click on the "Silver Sunday" picture on her blog and save it to a folder on your harddrive. Go to your blogspot - layout and click on "Add Gadget". Then click on "Picture". Now you can add a title and a link (Beth's blog address) and then upload the picture you had saved. Hopefully that will work.
Oh yes, I'm sure we would have a lot of fun shopping together if we would live closer :).

Have a wonderful evening, sweet friend!

Hugs,
Julia
